Smithers has been entertaining as a solo artist since 2007 after a career as a drummer - lead vocalist in bands in Melbourne & North Eastern Victoria. Local bands being Easy Street and The Early’s from 1988 – 2007. Clubs on the border from Albury to Echuca, wineries and private functions being the main focus for both the bands and his solo career.

Smithers repertoire is based on classics by popular artists from the 60’s and 70’s that are both for good listening and good dancing music. A focus on Elton John, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Holly and a mixture of other popular songs with a variety of ballads, country and rock’n’roll from both Australian and overseas artists.
