Terry Dean and Gary Carruthers have been playing live music together for over 30 years! Their pub residencies during the 80s and 90s have become legendary throughout Melbourne, particularly the packed-out New Boundary Hotel which ran every Saturday night from 1985-1994. Preferring spontaneity to a set list, D&C keep it fresh even after thousands of pub gigs, parties, TV appearances, festivals and all kinds of functions. Audiences also get to hear a variety of musical instruments including acoustic, electric and lap steel guitars, mandolin, banjo, dobro and harmonica. These skills also keep the pair in demand for recording sessions and live instrumental/vocal backing for many touring artists at some of this country's biggest music festivals such as Port Fairy; Byron Bay; Tamworth and Gympie.
